Not wanting to throw anything away, I’ve had a few broken up oak (Quercus) chair legs in storage. I knew they would be good for something but being curved in shape makes it rather difficult to figure out what exactly.
I had the idea for a purposely curved table lamp. Any remaining scars from it’s former life have been repaired but left visible as a hint to its past use. This also make each lamp highly unique and captivating to look at. Without having any connection, these lamps also have a real driftwood or coastal feel to them.
These are made intermittently from different woods when suitable materials become available.
